Harley Race

During his career as a wrestler, he amassed eight National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Heavyweight Championship reigns at a time when wrestlers rarely repeated as champion, and worked for all of the major wrestling promotions, including the NWA, the American Wrestling Association (AWA), the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). He was the first NWA United States Heavyweight Champion. Race is one of only six men inducted into each of the WWE Hall of Fame, the WCW Hall of Fame, the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Hall of Fame.

Harley has way too many accomplishments to write them all here, visit his Official Website or search Harley Race!

But one of Harley's most notable angles with the WWE, then WWF occured in May 1986, Race entered the WWF managed by longtime friend Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, bleaching his hair blond and billing himself again as "Handsome" Harley Race. During a time when the WWF did not recognize the existence of other promotions and the accomplishments a wrestler made there, WWF officials came up with a solution to recognize his wrestling pedigree by having him win the King of the Ring tournament. After this, he referred to himself as "King" Harley Race, coming to the ring in a royal crown and cape, to the ceremonial accompaniment of the tenth movement (known as "The Great Gates of Kiev") of Pictures at an Exhibition by Modest Mussorgsky. After winning a match, Harley would make his defeated opponent "bow and kneel" before him. Usually Bobby Heenan would assist the defeated opponent to "bow and kneel" by grabbing their hair and forcing them to bow before King Harley Race.

Harley is looking forward to a great weekend with all the boys, both new & old friends! He believes this is a real opportunity needed in today's Industry. Do you have what it takes to impress Harley Race & all the other Legends of the Ring?

Chris Youngblood

A second generation wrestler, son of Ricky Romero & brother to Mark and the late, Jay Youngblood.

Chris has made a name for himself wrestling across the World. He and Mark held the World Tag-Team Titles, as well as Caribbean Tag Titles, many times for WCW many times.

Chris now runs the Renegade Outlaw Wrestling promotion in the World famous NAT Ballroom on Historic RT. 66 in Amarillo, TX as well as the Romero Wrestling Academy.

Honky Tonk Man - UNABLE TO ATTEND

The Honky Tonk Man is a Professional Wrestling Icon! He is World famouse for his WWE career, where he held the Intercontinental Championship for a record 64 weeks. A record that still stands to this day. Trained in 1977 by Herb Welch of the famous Welch / Fuller wrestling family, where he traveled the South for the  first 10 years of his wrestling career. Known then as Wayne Farris, his biggest feud was with Cousin Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee. This feud made wrestling history when one of the most brutal fights of all time took place at the Tupelo Concession Stand Brawl. Shortly there after Farris took on the persona and named it the Honky Tonk Man. This guitar swinging Elvis look a like character with long sideburns & glittery jumpsuits would change him forever.

Honky Tonk Man has traveled the World bringing enjoyment to wrestling fans for more than three decades. Once known as a hated villian to the fans, Honky Tonk Man is now a fan favorite. He is as active as ever wrestling the independent circuit & traveling making appearances at Comic Book Conventions. When asked what it takes to be successful in the Professional Wrestling Industry, HTM says"desire, dedication, hard work, & a never ending passion for Professional Wrestling!"

Killer Karl Kox

Killer Karl Kox is a true Legend in Professional Wrestling in the United States, but he was a real Pioneer in the business in Australia.

Karl was one of the biggest stars in the WCW promotion in Australia during the 1960s and 1970s. As a singles heel through the 60s, he was a top-of-the-card fixture battling well established crowd favorites such as Mark Lewin, Spiros Arion and Mario Milano. He held both the IWA Australia Heavyweight Title & World Tag Team Titles during that time.

He is also a huge star in the United States, where he held multiple NWA Heavyweight & Tag-Team Titles. He had notable fueds with such guys as Dory Funk Sr and Rocky Johnson.

He is excited about being at this great event! We are happy to have him as a Judge, excited about the bridge he brings between the United States & Australia! We hope to have wrestlers from around the World!

Former WCW/WWE Legend & King of the Ring

Tugboat Taylor
Stan Hansen

 Stan "the Lariat" Hansen

Stan started his career in American, but by 1975 he was already a huge star in American but more importantly in Japan. In 1976, he would have a high profile match with then WWF Heavyweight Champion Bruno Sammartino, during that match the "deadly" Lariat was born, named so by many Japaneses media. That Lariat would be his finishing move that would help him win many titles over the years.

During the 70s & 80s, Stan would terrorize the South while winning both the NWA Georgia Heavyweight Championship Title & the NWA Georgia Tag Team Title with Tommy Rich.

Hansen has won many more titles, traveled the world & is well respected in this business. He is whole-heartly accepted by fans in Japan & around the World & is one of the most popular.

His finishing move, the Lariat, is still used by many wrestlers today. While in America he is was well known for his tabacco chewing & spitting is on his opponents (& people in general) & in Japan he was known for his brutality & the ability to get the job done. No one took or gave more puishment but few are as respected in this business than Stan "the Lariat" Hansen.

Quote from GWT Tournament Director Cowboy Johnny Mantell, who worked against Stan in 1976 for Mid-South with LeRoy McGirk & Bill Watts at the Channel 12 TV Studio in Sherevport, LA (9 or 10am on a Saturday) What a way to wake up!  ~ "And yes, I've tasted the lariat. But I was 19 at that time so my body was young & could heal! He kept it very close."

Butch Reed - UNABLE TO ATTEND

Butch Reed, who has wrestled around the world since 1978, has just confirmed his involvement as a Judge in the GWT.

Butch has held many titles along the way, some individual Heavyweight titles & many tag team titles.
